Standard repair procedure for vertical pumps

Pump Preparation

1- Dis-assemble the pump, clean, and sand blast all the components.

2- Inspect the parts completely.

3- Prepare report of As-Is finding.

Impeller

4- Weld repair cavitations and erosion on impeller vanes.

5- Profile impeller vanes smooth.

6- Weld repair impeller bore.

7- Machine impeller bore to OEM design.

8- Dynamic balance impeller to 4 W/N.

Suction Bell

9- Weld eroded registration fit.

10-Machine registration fit for design clearance.

11-Supply and install new bearings.

Bowl

12-Machine female registration fit for design clearance to suction male fit.

13-Weld male registration fit to column pipe and machine to design clearance.

14-Supply and install bronze bearings, and rubber bearings.

Column/ Discharge Head

15-Machine eroded registration fit for inter-bowl and stuffing box to establish design clearance.

16-Weld Registration fit. Machine registration fit to design clearance to discharge head.

17-Supply and install new bearings.

New Parts

18-Supply new pump-shaft in 416SS material.

19-Supply new line-shaft in 416SS material.

20-Supply new copper lines and fittings.

21-Supply new fasteners.

Pump Assembly & start-up

22-Assemble pump completely.

23-Paint pump.

24-Provide as build report
